The focus of this course is centered on exploring classroom teaching strategies that engage learners both face to face in the classroom and in our remote learning environments. Good teaching fosters development of critical thinking using contemporary neuroscience principles whether learners are face to face or remote. Beginning with the end in mind, join instructional technologist Dr. Andrew Bobal as he shares his Gamified Interactive Teaching Model (GITM) to successfully bring classroom lesson plans to life and shows how to both provide instruction that engages learners to use the content and provide a means of assessment on instruction success.
1. How gamification creates engagement opportunities within a learning environment.
2. How to investigate a variety of engagement tools.
3. How to justify using a given tool within your teaching.
4. How to assess learning in multiple ways.
